  2. When · second bauble From 18:00 till late Drinks from 18:00. Secret Santa at 20:00 sharp.
  3. Where · third bauble Brenton’s place Durbanville, Cape Town. Park on the street and follow the fairy lights round the side to the pool.
  4. Bring · fourth bauble A Secret Santa gift (R200 max) & a plate of something Wrap it, don’t name it. Sweet or savoury, the table takes anything.
  5. Wear · last bauble Your best (or ugliest) Christmas shirt It’s summer: shorts are fine. There’s a prize for the loudest shirt.

The tree’s up, the gammon’s ordered and the pool is the right temperature. Come and end the year properly: Secret Santa, a braai, carols round the pool and far too many mince pies.
